SummarySince joining WWC in May of 2012, Loren Ruttinger has been involved in a variety of projects related to the mining industry and regulatory permitting. Many of Loren’s responsibilities include hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, geotechnical analyses, modeling, and design. Loren has analyzed and designed several hydrologic control structures such as sediment and flood control ponds, diversion ditches, and blocking dikes to meet Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality regulations. He has participated in the design of evaporation ponds for disposal of wastewater related to uranium in-situ recovery (ISR) operations. He has experience in geotechnical exploration and analyses, such as slope stability. Loren’s modeling experience includes groundwater modeling of complex aquifer systems.
