SummaryI currently am working as a Broadband Tech for CenturyLink. My job responsibilities fall between installing, testing and maintaining POTS lines, DSL lines, IPTV (PRISM) and Fiber Optical lines. In my past working for AT&T and 360Networks I have worked in Central Offices as well as Outside Plant. As a Communications Tech for both companies I was responsible for the power systems as well as the fiber optical systems.
My work with Central Electric was more customer related where as the Data Tech I worked on customer phone and data systems along with CATV and CCTV systems. I also was licensed as an electrician.
I currently am attending Davis Applied Technology College in the Information Technology course. My course of study is in the Networking portion. I have finished over 1050 hours so far. I am working on my CCNA currently.
I am hoping to find a career in Network Management for a midsize company in the future once I have completed my schooling.
