SummaryI am a drafting technician at a wonderful Civil Engineering firm in Anchorage, Alaska. Our company specializes in traffic engineering, signal design, signing and striping, drainage, and road design. I am currently working on multiple projects in several different versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ranging from 2009 all the way to 2013. My major specialties are setting up drawings for the engineers to use in design, researching client standards to aid in this, and drawing clean-up. I enjoy making sure plans are up to the standards of our various clients. I like to turn in a plan set that not only looks great, but is clean all the way down to the layering. In addition to drafting, I also work on proposal and public meeting graphics using a combination of Photoshop and AutoCAD. I work with a lot of aerial photos combining them with proposed designs using Google Earth. Professionally, I would like to continue to expand my skills into the changing world of 3D design as there is a lot to learn. I am starting to learn Google Sketch Up and hope to use it to draw conceptual intersections.
