SummaryTake Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2005 in Anchorage Alaska was my beginning in the oil and gas industry. For one work day I shadowed my Dad. I observed the company’s network drive, Auto CAD, several different types of technical drawings, and the comradery between departments. At that time I knew I wanted to draft and design. My next semester of college included Auto CAD and construction management classes. I applied for an available drafter position with ASRC, AES in 2006 and got the job! First I worked as a piping drafter then switched to electrical and instrumentation. In 2007 I hired on with NANA-Colt’s Fire and Gas department, now NANAWorleyParsons FGBU. Over the years I’ve obtained NICET certification and traveled to the North Slope Prudhoe Bay Oil Field. I’m thankful for my start with ASRC, AES and my career with NANAWorleyParsons FGBU. I look forward to continuing work in the oil and gas industry.
