SummaryI am a dedicated nurse leader who has a deep commitment to the nursing profession and nursing education. The culmination of my nursing experience and higher education in leadership has inspired me to engage my students in learning and my fellow faculty to think "outside the box". I have great interest in facilitating interprofessional healthcare education in both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Simulation is also my passion as this teaching methodology transcends both the typical didactic and clinical nursing student experiences. As the Director I support the use of innovative, interprofessional, experimental and emerging pedagogies and technologies to engage students in the scholarship process. I believe active participation of the students in learning should be encouraged as this leads to better understanding of core curricular concepts, reinforces retention of knowledge and builds the foundation for lifelong professional learning.
