The largest is the for-profit Dakota Gasification Company, which owns and operates the Great Plains Synfuels Plant near Beulah, ND. The Synfuels Plant currently produces 10 products, and carbon dioxide is one of the them. The carbon dioxide is sent to Canada for tertiary oil recovery. In fact, the process is part of the largest carbon sequestration project in the world. |
